Affiliation: Rules and Requests
The following section elaborates on affiliate criteria and application. I've made it as light as possible; in the end a good site is a good site. You don't have to read the following before applying, but this section could give you a hint as to what MartinMcDonagh.Net looks for in affiliates.
Kinda Site: The Lay-Out and Traffic
MartinMcDonagh.Net does not automatically reject fansites on free servers such as GeoCities. As long as your site looks well designed and taken care of - no worries. Traffic can still be starting up, after all, this site isn't exactly old itself. The only demand is that you've produced a quality website; your server and amount of traffic will not influence that. I want to recommend websites that are informative, organized and updated.
Object of Fandom: The Subject of your Website
It is preferred that affiliates have some kind of link, even if it's completely far-fetched, to Martin McDonagh. I am not very big on randomly trying to collect a huge amount of affiliates, I would rather link to sites that might actually interest the visitors of this site. Irish artists (Colin Farrell), British artists (Paul Bettany), directors (Tim Burton), artists who were nominated in the same award ceremony in the same year (Robert Downey Jr.), actors who starred in Martin's work (David Tennant). It's not a must, but it's definitely preferred and will greatly increase the chance of an actual useful affiliation.
In short, I accept affiliates that I would truly recommend on my own account to the visitors of this particular website. Don't let the blah scare you off and just apply down here; I will e-mail you back.
